Mauka and makai action on Kulu

Kulu: Makai we have pupu onohi awa aggregating at Paiko, O’ahu || mahalo ia @kanoeulalani.  As for mauka, ‘iliahialo’e–our coastal sandalwood and the endangered ma’o hao hele are both budding, getting ready to open their flowers, on the west side of O’ahu.  Did you know that ma’o hau hele (Hibiscus brackenridgei) is Hawai’i’s state flower?
