Mohalu: dropping tide in the morning at Kahoonapuaa, Poipu, Koloa, Kauai.
The tide was dropping this morning, but this morning low tide will not be the lowest level of the water during the day. The tide will rise through the early afternoon then drop even lower into the evening. In Hawaii, we experience mixed semidiurnal tide cycles, which means that there are two low tides and two high tides of different size every lunar day. We’re looking forward to comparing the cycles in different moon phases and seasons!
